Why companies photograph the Christmas party
- Employer brand: real photos of real people beat stock imagery on careers pages and job ads
- Internal comms: a next-morning gallery gets the whole company talking, including remote colleagues
- Recognition: awards and thank-you speeches deserve a proper record
- Next year's planning: venue and format photos make the next brief easier
Easy to buy: built for procurement
A clear quote, a booking agreement, a company invoice and your PO reference on every document. Insurance details are available for your venue, and we'll complete supplier onboarding forms.
Privacy and consent, handled properly
Tell attendees in advance that a photographer will be there, and offer a simple opt-out such as a coloured wristband. We avoid anyone wearing one, galleries are private by default and any image is removed on request.
Budgets and the £150 HMRC exemption
HMRC's annual-function exemption covers staff events costing £150 or less per head that are open to all staff. Photography counts towards that total: for 100 guests, two hours of coverage adds under £5 per head.
A quick photography brief
- Timings: arrivals, team photo, speeches, awards and when the music starts
- Must-have shots: leadership team, award winners, departments, retiring colleagues
- Brand needs: logo walls, sponsor boards or stage graphics to include
- Privacy: how opt-outs will be identified, and anyone not to be photographed
- Delivery: who receives the next-morning preview, and where the photos will be used
