Why December dates go first
Most organisers research in late summer but confirm in October and November, once budgets are signed off. By then, the late-November to mid-December Thursdays and Fridays are already in demand.
Thursdays now rival Fridays because of hybrid working. Once your venue is confirmed, book the photographer: it's the supplier most often left until last.

How much coverage do you need?
Match the coverage to the parts of the evening that matter. Most office parties need between two and four hours. The team photo is best taken early, while everyone still looks fresh.
